FAQ

This is the website for the Advertising program and managed by the faculty/students of the program. All official admissions questions should be directed to the Registrars office at St. Clair College. You can visit the official website here.
This is a tough question as the students, the industry and the circumstances change every year. However, we can safely say the following based on the past five years:
    • Roughly 90% of all of the graduates that are looking for careers in the industry are hired within 2-4 months of graduating.

    • We have students every year that are hired right from their internship placement.

    • For the 2021 graduating class, we received more job opportunities than students to fill them!

    • For the 2022 graduating class, roughly 65% of all students had official job offers my week 10! This means that they had jobs waiting for them when they graduated. In some cases, the students started working in these positions and we applied the work completed towards their internship placement.
We hope this answered the question. The fact remains that our graduates are in high demand!
This is a 3-year Advanced Diploma Program. In the third year, you will have the opportunity to take part in a 4-week internship.

The St. Clair College registrars office will provide you with up-to-date information. However, there is a cap on this program with spots filling up VERY quickly. Once the program is filled, there is a waiting list.

If you are interested in taking this program, we highly advise that you register and confirm your registration ASAP.

This might happen if you apply and the program is already full. You may be waitlisted for a program if there are more acceptable candidates than available seats. If any of the accepted applicants decline the offer of admission or fail to register, you may be taken from the waitlist.

If this program is your FIRST CHOICE & you have been waitlisted, please CONTACT US before you decide to apply to a different program. As a program, we do not control admissions or registrations but we can try and look into this for you. No promises but we can at least see what the current situation is for you!

The waitlist is for the term to which you applied; it is not carried over from one term or one application year to another. To find your position on the Waitlist, please contact the Program Admissions Officer. Please see the Program Contact list on the Registrar’s Office website: https://www.stclaircollege.ca/registrars-office for names and phone numbers.
